Annie McCullough
An inspirational social change advocate, Annie’s energy and enthusiasm helped spark the recovery advocacy movement in Canada. She is the Co-Founder of Faces and Voices of Recovery Canada, one of the founders of Recovery Day in B.C., an all around Recovery Maven and one of Avalon’s latest board members!
Constance Barnes
Constance is a a social activist, former Vancouver park board commissioner, and a past Board Chair of Avalon Recovery Society. Listen to her incredible journey to recovery after facing a DUI in 2009 whilst serving as an elected official at the City of Vancouver.
Jessica Jeboult
Founder of A Sober Girls Guide, Jessica Jeboult went from party girl to sober girl after nearly ten years of living the fast life as a professional DJ based in LA. Today, Jessica is an accomplished writer, motivational speaker and coach. Check out her amazing recovery journey and learn more about the groundbreaking work she is doing with Avalon Recovery Society.
Helen Burnham, O.B.C.
Avalon Co-Founder Helen Burnham, O.B.C., shares her recovery story on Avalon’s 30th birthday! Helen opened the doors to Avalon Recovery Society on September 30, 1990 alongside Virginia Giles. These two incredible women met in on their recovery journeys and realized the need for a space for women to connect and support each other, forever changing the lives of women in recovery across the Lower Mainland.
