Workout For Women’s Day 2023
We are so grateful to announce that when you workout for this year’s Workout for Women’s day, funds raised will help keep our life-changing services free to women in recovery from addiction. THANK YOU to WWD & for everyone in support, for you are truly helping heal the lives of so many women in our community.
About Workout for Women’s Day
Workout for Women’s Day (March 3-8, 2023) is a coming together of local movement studios and instructors around International Women’s Day to offer public and private (corporate) classes for charities that support girls, women, and other people who experience gender discrimination. This grassroots, volunteer driven campaign has raised more than $100,000 since it began in 2019!
WWD strives:
-
to provide a space where all feel welcome and empowered to move in their own way,
-
to support and share the phenomenal movement studios and instructors in our city,
-
to raise funds and awareness for organizations that serve and support girls, women, transgender, non-binary and gender non-conforming people, and
-
to promote inclusion, diversity and equity in movement settings.
Avalon Women’s Wellness Program
At Avalon, we support a holistic approach for women in recovery from addiction.
We know that addiction is a disease of the mind, body, and spirit. Our wellness program provides the holistic resources and support for the women we serve.
Your support will help women access yoga classes, group meditations, women’s circles, acupuncture, support groups and peer support.
Our Centres are serene spaces where women can pause, reflect, and breathe in the company of women who have walked the same path.
