Meeting Descriptions

Below are some of the support group meetings available through Avalon Recovery Society. 
Our meetings are available to anyone who identifies as a woman (trans-inclusive).

Alcoholics Anonymous (AA)

Our Alcoholics Anonymous meetings are for women with a desire to stop drinking.

Along with regular AA meetings we also have Step groups, topic discussions, Guided Meditation, and Big Book study.

Al Anon​

This meeting is for women who are family or friends of alcoholics. Each meeting focuses on one step of the 12-Step AA program. 

We have regular Al-Anon meetings and Step meetings available.

We share our experience of growing up in an environment where abuse, neglect and trauma affected us. 

Co-Dependents Anonymous (CODA)

This meeting is for women who wish to develop healthy relationships. The only requirement is a desire for healthy and loving relationships.

This meeting is for women who have been affected by another person’s compulsive sexual behavior.

This meeting is for women who are recovering from an addiction to narcotics.

Sex and Love Addiction Anonymous (SLAA)

This meeting is for women who suffer from an addictive compulsion to engage in or avoid sex, love or emotional attachments.

This meeting is for women who are recovering from the consequences of childhood sexual abuse.
